Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

These terms govern your use of Checksit, a Slack app operated by Sevensapps ("we," "us") that connects to your company's documentation and answers questions in Slack. By installing or using Checksit, you agree to these terms on behalf of your organization.

The service

Checksit indexes content from sources you choose to connect (currently Google Drive, Notion, and Confluence) and uses that content to answer questions asked in Slack via the /checksit command, @mentions, or direct messages. Answers are generated using third-party AI models and may occasionally be incomplete or incorrect — always verify important answers against the cited source documents.

Accounts and plans

Checksit is priced per Slack workspace, not per user. A free trial plan (50 queries/ month) is available. Paid plans (Starter, Team, Business) are billed monthly through Stripe and can be upgraded, downgraded, or canceled at any time from the admin dashboard. Canceling stops future billing; it does not retroactively refund the current billing period unless required by law.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Checksit to connect or process content you don't have the right to share with us.
  • Attempt to access another workspace's data or interfere with the isolation between workspaces.
  • Reverse engineer, resell, or use the service to build a competing product.
  • Use the service in a way that violates applicable law or Slack's own terms of service.

Your content

You retain ownership of the documents and data you connect to Checksit. You grant us a limited license to access, index, and process that content solely to provide the service to your workspace. See our Privacy Policy for details on how data is stored and protected.

Third-party services

Checksit relies on third-party providers (including Slack, Anthropic, OpenAI, Pinecone, Google, Notion, Atlassian, and Stripe) to operate. We're not responsible for outages or changes in those services that affect Checksit's availability.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Checksit is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. AI-generated answers may be inaccurate — Checksit is a search and summarization aid, not a substitute for verifying information against your source documents. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sevensapps is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Checksit, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

Termination

You may stop using Checksit at any time by uninstalling it from Slack. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms or Slack's policies.

Changes

We may update these terms as Checksit evolves. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
